Newlands Primary School new buildings for 2023

These drawings explain what is happening currently at Newlands. The main entrance will be from Elizabeth Street, providing access to the admin, gym and learning worlds. The bird's eye view shows our current buildings, the two portables, Building 'C' and the new sports oval. 

The final two drawings provide an insight into the layout of the two learning worlds, including the classrooms and collaborative spaces. These spaces complement our goal to create spaces where the teachers and students can engage in group or individual teaching, all in view of the teachers. The architects have provided outdoor learning areas for activities that benefit from being outside. 

The internal outdoor courtyard spaces are the final and most unique design elements for the two learning worlds. The courtyard will provide students with a safe space for engaging in tranquil mindfulness activities or an active area where children can sing, play-act or even practice their Spanish! 

This project is such a wonderful learning environment. We are excited to see Newlands have a school environment that supports the vision for learning at Newlands.
