Mr Darren Horten

The College is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Darren Horton. Mr Horten joins us as a teacher of Primary from Willomavin Primary school. Previously serving in a range of public and Christian schools as both a teacher, middle leader and assistant Head of School,  Darren is an extremely experienced educator who has a passion for authentic Christian schooling,  and is looking forward to joining the Primary team. 

 

Mr Jayden Williams

The College is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jayden Williams. Mr Williams joins us as a teacher of Primary from Gilson College. He is a passionate and innovative educator who enjoys supporting students in a range of school activities inside and outside of the classroom. 

 

Ms Eliza Silva

The College is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Eliza Silva. Ms Silva joins us as a teacher of Primary from St Patrick’s Primary School. An enthusiastic, vibrant and positive teacher with a deep commitment to Christian education and passion for student wellbeing, Ms Silva has a zest for learning. 

 

Mrs Rowena Kohinga

The College is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Rowena Kohinga. The College has been greatly blessed by having Mrs Kohinga on staff this year as a relief teacher which allowed us to witness her commitment to students and their learning. We look forward to the blessing of having her on staff as a teacher in the Middle and Senior School.

 

Mrs Sophie Fernandez

The College is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Sophie Fernandez. Previously serving the College as a long service leave replacement teacher, Ms Fernadez has a deep understanding of our students and a love for the subjects she teaches. Ms Fernadez will be teaching in the Middle and Senior Schools. 

 

Mrs Fiona Scheffer

The College is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Fiona Scheffer. Otherwise known as ‘Chaplain Fiona’. Mrs Sheffer is a qualified teacher and will be undertaking a dual role in 2023 as College chaplain and as a teacher in the Middle and Senior Schools. Mrs Scheffer is known to our students as a teacher as she has been undertaking replacement teacher work this year at the College.

 

Pastor Eugene Minge

For those new to the Lutheran ChurchSchurch, Pastors don't apply for jobs as other staff do, congregations/schools ask pastors to consider serving their community by issuing a ‘call.’ The pastor and his family then pray and discern whether to accept the call. Pastor Eugene and his family were issued a call from Grenock Lutheran Church in SA earlier thisthsi time and have accepted this call after prayerful consideration. We thank Pastor Eugene for his service and wish him and his family the bestto best as they take up this new ministry.

 

Mr Daniel Woolfe

In order to follow God’s call into Christian ministry outside of schools, Mr Woolfe is leaving the College at the end of this year. We thank him for his commitment to his students, calm presence and witty humour. He will be greatly missed by staff and students alike. We wish him and his family the very best for the future.

 

Ms Barb Wiegandt

After serving us as our Primary German teacher for a number of years, Ms Wiegandt is leaving the College at the end of this. We thank her for building a wonderful German program and being a key member of the Primary specialist team. She will be missed by our community and we wish her the very best.

 

Ms Sam Semple

Ms Semple will be on leave in 2023 and we look forward to seeing her on staff again in 2024.
