Principal's Report

Our senior students have begun their Step-Up program and they are to be commended for the manner and attitude with which they have approached their studies. This can be unsettling, but they have adjusted well. Their teachers have spent much time collaborating and planning for these lessons to enable our students to start their new subjects with rigour and commitment.

There has been a little unrest in the College post the recent flood event, particular among some of our junior students. While our staff are being exceptionally patient and compassionate in this space, some of the behavior of a handful of students is unacceptable and unfortunately this can impact on the learning of others. We all want to finish this year strongly and positively, so I ask all families to re-visit with their children the importance of respectful interactions with all in our community. Staff will also continue to work with students in this space.

Our 2023 Year 7 Information night was held last night and we thank the parents and families for choosing St Joseph’s. They are being welcomed into a faith community with an incredible history of support and quality learning and teaching. We are all looking forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students into the College next year. While they will begin on our Brigidine Campus, they will be our first group of students to start at our new Kildare Campus in Term 2 - very exciting times ahead.
