Learning & Teaching

Science Day

 Tuesday 8th November.

Students are invited to dress up on this day and could come as a Science invention, inspirational scientist or something to do with the theme of Glass - options are endless!!

On this day students will be participating in Science themed lessons in their classrooms and will take part in an incursion which will be run by Mad About Science.

Prep - Year 2 students will take part in a MAD SCIENCE SHOW.  There will be giant smoke vortices, levitating beach balls, flying toilet paper, flour fireballs, hair-raising electricity, and lots of learning!

3/4 & 5/6 students will take part in a LIQUID NITROGEN SHOW. What’s cooler than cool? Liquid nitrogen! Students will learn all about the states of matter and what happens when we heat things up and cool things down with super cool chemical nitrogen. They will also learn all about reversible and irreversible reactions!

All incursions will be held in our school hall. There will be an altered Specialist Timetable on the day.

🎉⭐ COLOUR RUN - 11th November ⭐🎉

A friendly reminder to please complete the Operoo permission form for our Colour Run next week (11th November). We would also love it if each student could create their online profile at www.australianfundraising.com.auYour online profile is private and can only be accessed by people that you share the link with so it’s CyberSafe!

Big prizes are up for grabs and students who raise at least $10 can receive a selection of awesome prizes ⭐💰🎉

Thanks so much for your fundraising efforts so far, we really appreciate it!! We cannot wait to colour Holy Spirit!

Library Stocktake

We are requesting all books to be returned to the school library on Monday 28th November for our annual stocktake. Trish will be working in this space to ensure our books are kept in pristine condition and are ready to go home with our students again in 2023. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Assembly

A big congratulations to our Year 4 students, Gabriella, Ava, Tom & Jonah, who were the School Leaders while the 5/6 students were on camp. You represented Holy Spirit so wonderfully and should be so proud of yourself. Congratulations!!

Amazing job to 3/4 Melissa & Liz who presented their learning during our assembly in Week 3. We loved learning with you!

There will be no assembly this week. We will be holding an assembly for Remembrance Day in Week 6 on 11th November at 10:30am.

Have a fabulous fortnight!
