From the bushland to the red heart, Australia Reads

Australia Reads

Australia Reads invites Australians of all ages and from all walks of life to share and celebrate the joys of reading!

Whether you were picking up a book for the first time or your head was already stuck in one, there were plenty of books, activities and events as part of the festivities organised by Australia Reads.

We were very inspired.  On Thursday 12 November, Cecil Hills High School celebrated this event.  We were invited to stop what we were doing for an hour, pick up a book and read to ourselves.

Given the chance to stop what they were doing for an hour and pick up a book and read, these keen Cecil Readers didn’t hesitate at an invitation to be part of Australia Reads where you did just that! The aim was to celebrate reading! For this special Library event, we invited our dedicated readers, most being our successful Premier's Reading Challenge participants and Library regulars. There were a variety of books brought along, showing that there is a book for everyone….....you just have to find the right books for you!

Come along to the Library and start your own reading adventure!   The Library staff are here to help you learn to love to read. See you soon!
