CHRISTMAS TOY APPEAL

Please leave any donations under the Christmas tree in the school foyer. Many thanks to those families who have already done so. Please note that gifts need to put under the tree by this Friday December 6 as they will be presented at next Monday morning's assembly.

FOOD FOR FAMILIES APPEAL

This year is the 22nd annual Wesley Mission Food for Families Appeal which donates groceries and toiletries to over 15,000 people each year who turn to Wesley Mission for emergency accommodation and food in times of crisis.

For the past 7 years, Murrumbeena Primary School has been involved in this program. 

2013 has been an especially challenging year with economic misfortune and health problems causing huge stress and hardship for many Australian families.

It has always been noted how generous the Murrumbeena Primary School community is in regards to this appeal. With your help this year, we can again make a difference.

COLLECTION BOXES HAVE BEEN SET UP NEXT TO THE OFFICE .

Even the smallest contribution helps!!

SUGGESTED NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS:

• Tinned tuna, salmon, sardines and ham

• Rice/ cous cous/ longlife soft noodles

• Pasta and pasta sauces

• Tinned fruit and vegetables

• UHT (longlife) milk

• Two-minute noodles, instant noodles in a cup/bowl

• Breakfast cereals

• Baby food

• Muesli bars & breakfast bars

• Jars of vegemite, honey, peanut butter, nutella, jam

• Tinned and ready to eat meals 

  eg. spaghetti, baked beans, soup,

  curries, pastas etc (non-perishable)

• Tomato sauce, vinegar, oil, soy sauce etc...

• Biscuits and crackers

• Simmer sauces & quick meal packets

• Teabags, instant coffee, milo

• Healthy snacks

SUGGESTED TOILETRIES:

• Toothpaste / toothbrushes

• Band-aids

• Toilet paper

• Liquid hand wash/shower gel

• Soap

• Face washers

• Deodorant

• Nappies/wet wipes

• Shampoo and conditioner

• Tissues
