Athletics Carnival

The Holy Trinity School Athletics carnival is on this Thursday at Varley Oval. Secondary students will be participating in track events only with field events taking place at school during sport early next term.

Cochrane Cup

Well done to all students who participated in the Cochrane Cup Rugby League and Diocesan Netball Day in Armidale last Thursday. The U14’s league team and the Year 7/8 netball team were winners and runners up respectively on the day. Special thanks to Bella O'Brien for traveling

 with the netball teams to umpire.

Rugby Union Regional Final

Congratulations to our Open Boys Rugby Union side who came 3rd last week in Tamworth at the Regional Final. The team consisted of Jack Calman, Charlie Harris, Campbell Walsh, Cooper Smith, Max Pianko, Jack Stewart, Sam McLachlan, Angus Harris, Rylie Schutz and Charlie Moffitt. Primary Sport This week

Primary Sport will be held on Thursday. All Year 3-6 students will participate in the School Athletics Carnival at Varley Oval.

School Athletics Carnival

The annual Year 3-10 School Athletics Carnival will be held at Varley Oval on Thursday 29 June starting at approx. 9:15am. Parents are welcome to attend. Children will be transported to the track by bus and will be supervised by staff. Students are to compete in age groups – 8\9 years, 10 years, 11 years & 12 years. Track events for Year 3-6 include 800m, 200m, 100m & house relays. Most ages will also participate in novelty events. Events will begin with the 8\9year boys 800m followed by the girls then continue through the ages. No exact start times can be given. Students are to wear their full school sports uniform but may wear house colour T-shirts on the day (Johns – yellow, Marks – red, Pauls – blue, Leos – Green). Children should bring their hat, sunscreen and water bottle. If your child suffers from asthma they should bring their own Ventolin. A canteen will be available on the day.

Primary Sport  in Term 3

In Term 3 students from Years 3-6 will be participating in elective sports. Children will be notified of their sport by the end of the week.

Indoor Sports - $3.50 per week. This will be held at the Inverell Indoor Centre. Students will do indoor cricket, netball and soccer.

School Sport – No Cost. This will be a variety of activities each week held at school on the back oval (eg. Hockey, Tee-ball, Basketball, Soccer, Cricket)

Ten Pin Bowling - $8.00. Shake Rattle and Bowl – Ring Street

Scootering – No Cost. Each week students will scooter to an area in town (eg. Lake Inverell, Skatepark). All participants must have their own scooter and helmet.

Bushwalking – No cost. This will be at a variety of venues around town including on the pathways and a trip to Goonoowigall.

Yoga - $4.50. This will be gentle stretching and meditation activities.

Box Fit – No cost. At school, doing basic fitness activities involving boxing, running and skipping. This is done in the school hall with a teacher.

King Fit - $3.50. This involves going to the Nick King Lifestyle Centre to do activities around strength, coordination and fitness. Qualified instructors take the class.

Year 1/2 Sport – Term 3

In Term 3 Year 1 & 2 students will be going to King Fit for sport. Each class will go for 5 weeks. Cost will be $3.50.  In weeks 1-5 1/2DM and 1/2G will go and in weeks 6-10 1/2W and 1/2M will go.
