Next term students from Year 2 to Year 6 will be participating in the Peer Support program. Peer Support is a program, which provides a fun engaging environment for young people to address social issues. Modules are designed to equip young people with skills to deal proactively with life experiences. The Peer support program promotes wellbeing, which encourages positive relationships, connectedness and a sense of responsibility. Trained Year 6 leaders, supervised by a teacher, facilitate structured activities with multi-aged groups (Year 2-5) of approximately 10 students. The Year 6 training will take place on Thursday and Friday 20 & 21 July at the Inverell Club.
Reports will be sent home on Friday, 30 June.
