CELEBRATING OUR FAITH

A group from Holy Trinity School will be attending the Australian Catholic Youth Festival in Sydney from December 7-9. One of the artists, Genevieve Bryant, visited our school yesterday, and entertained Year 9 and 10 with some original songs, and her testimony. She was an impressive ambassador for ACYF, and it is hoped that many students in Year 9 and 10 will join our excursion to the festival. A letter was sent home to parents of students in Years 9 and 10 yesterday, with some details about the excursion. We encourage anyone interested to let Mr Gibson or Mrs Rainger know before the end of term.
Prayer Celebrations
The focus of our prayer celebrations this week will be to acknowledge Naidoc week, which falls in the first week of July each year. Naidoc week is a time to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements and is an opportunity to recognise the contributions that Indigenous Australians make to our country and our society. Our prayers ask that all peoples and cultures continue to live in harmony and peace. Our prayers will be led by SRC members and Mr Gibson.
