Indonesian in the Primary Years

In Indonesian we have been thinking about time. What does time mean to us? Is it ok to be late? How do you feel if you're late? How much later does late mean? Is time the same in other cultures? When did we start using clocks to tell the time? What did we use before then?

We've had some great discussion about time-zones which led us to look up our sister school in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Indonesian in the Early Years

In Indonesian we have been talking about the times of the year, mainly the months and season. We have been singing the months of the year song both in English and Indonesian and discussing the changing season. Students have been exploring the seasons we experience in Australia, in preparation for learning about seasons in different cultures.
