Premier’s Spirit of Democracy Study Tour

From the 10th to 14th of April, four students from MGC (Erin Williams, Kieran Grant, Mikayla Howitt, and Dorothea Lam) attended the Premier’s Spirit of Democracy Study Tour. The Study Tour was held in Melbourne and Canberra, focusing on civic participation, the Australian government system as well as modern and ancient democracy. We attended a broad range of workshops and guided tours including the Big Issue workshop, the Victorian and Australian parliament house tours, the Indigenous Perspectives self-led tour, the National Electorate Education Centre, the High Court Tour and a visit to the Greek Consulate. Overall, the Premier’s Spirit of Democracy Tour extended our knowledge of the Australian government system and the importance of civic participation for all individuals.
