Middle Years
Morrisby Interviews -
Bookings Open!
All Year 9 students are now required to book in a time to see a careers practitioner to unpack their Morrisby profile. These appointments will be taking place between Monday 6th June and Friday 17th June.
Appointments are 30 minutes long and students are required to excuse themselves from their class for this time, returning to class afterwards.Parents are welcome to attend these interviews, either face to face or remotely.
If any parents would like to join remotely, I suggest booking for Wednesday 15th June. Could you please also email me as soon as possible at den@wantirnacollege.vic.edu.au to request access to the interview? For parents attending face to face, you will be required to sign in at the office - I will provide more information prior to the start of interviews.
Please complete your booking by Sunday 29th May. If any students do not book a time, they will be allocated one. Only students who have fully completed their Morrisby profile will be able to have an interview with a practitioner.
Please see Compass or Teams for steps on how to book.
Successful Applicant: Girl Power in IT & Engineering @ Uni Melb
I am pleased to announce that one of our amazing Year 9 students has been accepted into an exclusive 4-year program aimed at encouraging female participation in the fields of IT & Engineering.
Sophie Berry of 9K has successfully received one of approximately 40 places which gives her the opportunity to participate in a range of activities at the University of Melbourne, including:
- an all-expenses paid camp over the July holidays, staying at a residential college
- a work experience placement with Uni Melb’s Faculty of Science in Year 10
- mentoring opportunities with Uni Melb Engineering and IT students throughout Years 11 & 12
We are all so proud of Sophie and can’t wait for her to share her experiences and encourage more female students to pursue this pathway. Well done Sophie!
