Book Reviews 

Students are starting to use the Book Review function in the new Library catalogue. Once they have finished reading a book, students are encouraged to look it up in the catalogue and click on the Write a review link below the cover image. Highly rated books are displayed on the front screen in one of the sliders. This is a good place to start if they are looking for a book that their peers loved.  

Artisan of the Month 

Congratulations to the following winners of the April/May Aritsan of the Month:

Family and Friends - Abbi Haynes  

The voting was very tight this month, so congratulations also to those in the highly commended category: Connor Cantwell, Amber Thomson and Andrew Lewis. 

All entries can be viewed in the AotM Gallery at the top of the Artisan of the Month channel in the Library Teams page. 

The June Artisan of the Month is now open, and closes at the end of Sunday 19th June, just in time for the last week of Term 2. 

If you have created something you are proud of, email your entry to the library  with a digital image or sound file and a brief description. You may enter anything creative (photos, drawings, sewing, knitting, carpentry, pottery, origami, an original piece of music, decorated cake etc.), as long as it is your own work.  

Family & Friends submissions must mention which student or staff member they are connected to. A full submissions outline is available on the Library teams page – Artisan of the Month channel.

Resident Writers 

Would you like to enter the Term 2 Resident Writers? There is still time – entries close the end of Sunday 19th June. 

Email us the short written pieces you are proud of (essays, stories, poems, lyrics, etc.) with the subject line 'Resident Writers entry'. 

If it is a Family & Friends submission, please mention which student or staff member you are connected to. By submitting you agree to be published to the school community (on Teams, in the College Yearbook, etc) - please let us know if you want to submit but prefer to keep your work anonymous.
