Art Outside the Classroom

After two years of disrupted learning and COVID-19 restrictions, visual art students are finally able to attend excursions in Melbourne and beyond to experience art outside the classroom!

On April 28th, Year 12 Art students visited an exhibition by a prominent Australian contemporary artist, Patricia Piccinini. “A Miracle Constantly Repeating” was part of the Rising Festival in Melbourne and was held in various rooms of Flinders Street Station, including the Ballroom. 

Students had a great time viewing the contemporary pieces which pose many questions about nature, technology and evolution. Preparing for a SAC has never been so immersive!

Students are looking forward to more art experiences this year.
