La Trobe Street & Wiltshire Lane Update
Crews will be working to rehabilitate Ballarat-Carngham Road and La Trobe Street from late May through June. Time frames for the completion of this work are heavily dependent on favourable weather conditions. To fast track completion of this work, the following temporary road closures will be in place, with exact dates to be confirmed and subject to weather:
- Full intersection closure for one night only anticipated between 31 May and 10 June from 6pm-6am with detours in place for traffic to bypass the intersection from La Trobe Street, Ballarat-Carngham Road, Learmonth Street and Wiltshire Lane.
- Ballarat-Carngham Road full closure between La Trobe Street and Kennedys Drive for one night only from 6pm-6am anticipated between 6 June and 20 June, with detours via Paddys Drive and Icon Drive.
Business access will be retained during works, with some temporary access changes in place and traffic flow will be retained in all directions outside of designated closure periods. Additional traffic management will be in place during this period of work and motorists can expect changed traffic conditions along La Trobe Street and Ballarat-Carngham Road. Travel delays are expected and we thank the community for their patience and understanding while we complete this important work.
