Term 2

School Buses

Rupa Dasgupta is the Transport Coordinator at Concord School and is the main contact for any bus matters. Please email her on Tamarupa.Dasgupta@education.vic.gov.au or phone 9467 3972.

  • Please contact the bus supervisor concerned directly if a morning pick up or afternoon drop off needs to be cancelled because of absence/illness etc.
  • Please contact Rupa and provide at least 24 hours’ notice (unless there is an emergency) if the student’s travel arrangements are to be changed.
  • Students are only permitted to travel on one bus. Exceptions may be made on a term by term arrangement providing there is sufficient capacity on both buses.
  • The Transport Coordinator needs to be notified of any change of address at least 7 days prior to any bus change taking place.
  • The supervisors have completed their First Aid certificates and are trained to manage health and medical emergencies that may occur with the students in their care.
  • Parents are requested to be waiting for the bus to ensure the run remains on time. *Please note that individual courtesy texts cannot be sent on a daily basis to parents to let them know how far away the bus is unless a unique situation arises.

Student Supervision

Yard supervision is provided for students from 8:45am until 3:15pm. Please be aware that students on school grounds outside of these times are NOT supervised by staff at Concord School.

Mobile Phone Use

A reminder that, in line with the DET Mobile Phone Use Policy, the use and access to mobile phones while at school is as follows:

  • All students are required to switch off their phones and store them in the classroom secure lock box or for Year 11 & 12 students, they may store them in their own lockers.
  • The only exceptions to the ban will be where students use phones to monitor health conditions, or where teachers instruct students to bring their phone for a particular classroom activity. At all other times phones must be in lock boxes or lockers.

When emergencies occur, parents or guardians can reach their child by calling the school office.
