OPEN MORNING

On Thursday 19th May, we held an Open Morning as part of the 2022 Education Week celebrations. Thank you to the many parents, carers, grandparents and special friends who attended and enjoyed some time with their child in the classroom. Students and visitors participated in some special, hands-on activities together and were able to celebrate the fantastic learning happening in each section.

Across the school, students and their families were treated to a range of different activities based on some of the learning from their current Discovery Units. The focus of this discovery learning has been ‘Social Responsibility’ which has included different concepts such as diversity, social systems, change, citizenship, relationships and culture. Other activities included in the Open Morning celebrated Victoria’s education both past and present. Many students and families shared items related to their own culture, compared items from the past to current day, shared stories and photos of schooling across the years, created personalised art pieces and participated in a range of different games together.

Open Morning provided a fantastic opportunity to bring our school community together to celebrate the wonderful learning that happens in each classroom every day. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our teachers, education support staff, allied health staff and administration staff who work together to provide an outstanding education for all students.
