House Basketball Competition

During Term 2 all of the Year 7-10 students compete in the annual House Basketball Competition. We saw some good skills displayed on the court and the students looked like they were enjoying themselves playing a sport they aren’t normally exposed to.

Our 9/10’s competed on Tuesday 18th June: The results were:

Round 1: Taltarni 8 defeated Tanaranga 3

Round 2: Wandarra 3 defeated Kambara 2

Round 3: Wandarra 6 defeated Tanaranga 3

Round 4: Kambara 10 defeated Taltarni 8

Round 5: Kambara 6 defeated Tanaranga 5

Round 6: Taltarni 8 defeated Wandarra 6

Our 7/8’s competed on Monday 24th June: The results were:

Round 1: Wandarra 4 defeated Tanaranga 2

Round 2: Taltarni 6 defeated Kambara 2

Round 3: Taltarni 8 defeated Wandarra 6

Round 4: Kambara 12 defeated Tanaranga 10

Round 5: Tanaranga 4 draw against Taltarni 4

Round 6: Kambara 18 defeated Wandarra 6

The results were very close in the end when combining the two competition days together. The winning house for the overall competition for 2019 was Taltarni.

This year our 9/10 Sport and Recreation class also had a go at running the Basketball Competition for the Year 7 and 8’s. They did a great job and it was a good learning experience for them. Thank you to you all.
