A big thank you from the library
This year, our libraries facilitated a whopping 42,312 loans! We’re so proud of you all! Here are some more big numbers to show just how much you all love reading!

Tom Gates is clearly the favourite here at Tarneit P-9! Four Tom Gates books made it into our Top Ten – Top of the Class was so popular that even our second copy of it made it to the list on its own!
The Julia Gillard library Tarneit is located at 150 Sunset View Boulevard Tarneit, and is free to join. Available for borrowing are books, toys, eBooks, Audio Books, digital magazines and newspapers. Don’t forget to visit the website for great summer free activities and more information.

Invoices for lost or misplaced books would have been sent home the week of 10 December and may incur a $15.00 fee per book.
WHY IS SUMMER READING IMPORTANT FOR ALL STUDENTS?
Studies have shown that reading over the summer holidays helps students’ continue to learn! This helps students practice their reading skills, whilst reading books that appeal to them. By providing access to different reading materials, we hope students will be motivated to enjoy their reading over the holidays.
Over the summer school holidays we are offering students’ access to Tarneit P-9 College ePlatform Audio and eBooks online. For more information on how to access our eBooks online, please refer our ePlatform brochure.
