Principal's Report

Linda Maxwell - Presenting the DUX Award to Shane Hong.

Principal's report

Our fantastic VCE results mean that we end the year on a particularly positive note. Reaching a mean score of 30 is a goal that we’ve had for the last six or seven years so to finally achieve this was both satisfying and exciting. The Graduation ceremony last Wednesday night showcased the whole range of achievements of our 2018 Year 12 students. Our Dux was Shane Hong, who achieved a remarkable ATAR of 99.35, and was joined by another 18 students who also achieved ATARs above 90. Thirty-one different students achieved a combined 56 study scores over 40, including a perfect 50 for Sasha Reljic in Health & Human Development. The honour board next year will require room for 44 faces, which is our best ever. There was also recognition of excellent achievements in VCAL, VET and a range of community service awards. A particularly pleasing aspect of the ceremony was that three students on our PSD (Program for Student with Disabilities) achieved awards for their great efforts in a range of areas.

I want to thank and congratulate our graduating Year 12’s for their great attitude and effort and wish them all the very best for their future. I also want to wish our whole community a very happy, safe and relaxing break.
