Church for Life in 2019 at Aitken College - Invitation

Well the new school year is underway. Welcome back to all, and to any new families and students, it is really great to have you join the Aitken Community. Many of you will be aware that over the past couple of years we have been slowly laying the groundwork to establish a regular Sunday Christian Worship Service at Aitken College.

In 2019, we have appointed Rev Jim Vaughn as Community Chaplain at Aitken College and part of his work will be to focus on building up and continuing this initiative. Perhaps you would like to join us.

Church for Life is a place for families and friends, not just the Aitken Community,  but the wider community as well. It is a fun time of learning and pastoral care and a real place where our children can find a home with other children in their faith journey. Parents as well.

Our first Service in 2019 will be held on Sunday 24 February in the Chapel and Performing Arts Centre foyer, at 10.30am. Why not come along and be a part of something new and growing and really worthwhile. Please feel free to contact Rev Jim Vaughn or Mr Chris Ward at the College if you have any questions. We look forward to meeting with you on the 24th.

Please refer to the attached flyer for full details.

Parenting Evenings at Aitken College

Over the course of 2019, several Parenting Evenings will be held at the College which will aim to address some of the contemporary concerns relating to raising children and issues which relate to growing up and relationships in these critical school years.

A warm invitation is extended to all parents to attend the first of these Parent Evenings to be held on Wednesday 6 March in Common Room 1 at the College at 7.30pm. The topic for this evening will be:  'Bullying, My child and Building Resilience'.

If you would like to attend, please return the attached form to Mr Chris Ward. If you have any questions, please contact me at cward@aitkencollege.edu.au
