Year 12 Celebrations

We celebrated the Graduation of our Year 12 "Class of 2019" on Thursday 21st November.  Congratulations on your achievements in Year 12.  Some of you are awaiting your exam results and ATAR scores to see your Tertiary education Pathways, others are heading to TAFE or securing work in apprenticeships or other work options.  Whatever your pathway, we know you have all the skills to succeed.  All the best for the future "Class of 2019".

To the parents/guardians of our graduating Year 12 students, thank you for your patience, care and commitment to your child completing Year 12.  Our graduation assembly was an opportunity for family and friends to share in the joy of graduating Year 12.  It was great to share in a morning tea all together.  The Valedictory dinner held at the G V Hotel on Thursday night was a great night.

Code Red Day

We haven't had a code red day since 2010.  Thank you to all students, staff, parents/guardians for working together to ensure all our students were safe on such an extreme weather day.  I would welcome feedback on the communication avenues implemented (SMS text & McGuire facebook page). The need to cancel excursions and communicate that school buses were not running was known late in the day.  We apologise for the late notice but as soon as the information was received it was passed on.

Careers Flair Expo

Together with the Lighthouse Project and our Careers team, the Year 7s had a fantastic interactive Careers taster on Tuesday, 19th Nov.  Thank you to local businesses and Emergency professionals for giving up their time and energy to create activities which engaged, excited and educated the Year 7s on future career possibilities. Thanks to Lynda Bruce and her team for making all of this happen together with the Lighthouse Project.
