2019 Year 7 Orientation Day

The 2019 Year 7 students attended Orientation Day on Thursday 15 November. The students spent the day meeting teachers and other students. They were given quick samplers of Art, Drama, Indonesian, PE and Science. It is hoped that spending the day together helps alleviate anxiety in students. Transitioning into ‘High School’ is a huge time in a student’s life, hopefully, some of them left here feeling a little less worried. A thank you to the teachers that helped on the day. A very big thank you to Mrs Cathy Graham and Mrs Elizabeth Sekulovski for their hard work at the BBQ and to the current Year 7 students who gave up their ‘day off’ to assist.

2019 Dunhelen Captains

All Captain interviews have been conducted and letters will be sent home shortly. I hope to be announcing the 2019 Captains for Dunhelen soon. There was an overwhelming amount of nominations and as a result not all candidates were interviewed.

Assessment and Work

We are nearly at the end of the year and the students (and teachers) can see the finish line. However, I would like to once again remind students and parents that normal school rules apply. Students are required to be at school every day and completing all work that is requested of them.
