Wellbeing & Student Engagement

Wellbeing Day
On Thursday 13 December, the Year 7 and 8 students participated in a Wellbeing Morning which was coordinated by the Wellbeing Team at Koonung SC.
Adolescence can be a very exciting time where young people have increasing independence, create a variety of new friendships and relationships as well as fine tuning their skills and interests. Adolescence can, however, also bring challenging circumstances which can increase levels of stress and affect their moods whilst they navigate their way through these years. The focus of the Wellbeing Day was to equip the students with some practical and simple ways in which they can ‘de-stress.’ The students participated in seven stations which centred around rest, relaxation, gratitude, personal strengths and physical activity.
The students enjoyed themselves and hopefully they can reflect on the activities they participated in and how they can incorporate them into their daily lives.
