Happy Jolabokaflod (Christmas Book Flood)

Hi everyone,

In Iceland books are exchanged on Christmas Eve and it is tradition that you spend the rest of the night reading!  Due to the freezing conditions people generally take their new book to bed with a hot chocolate.........how nice does that sound. Fun fact: Iceland publishes more books than any other country in the world. Not surprisingly, the book-loving island nation enjoys a sky-high literacy rate, demonstrating the value of integrating literature and reading into a nation’s cultural identity. That's it I'm moving!

Merry Christmas from the library and all its books...............See you in 2019
