Important Information

eSafety Commissioner

Staying connected online has never been more important, now that many of us are physically isolated from family members, friends, colleagues and support networks.

The internet is a great way to socialise, learn, work, play and be entertained. But there are also risks. The esafety Commissioner website is regularly updated and includes resources for parents and educators on being safe online. Some key reminders are:

  • Use parental controls in apps and devices
  • Set limits for using devices (work set by teachers should not exceed 3 hours a day unless students choose additional tasks. Please speak to your child's teacher if you have any concerns regarding time to complete tasks).
  • Keep your children in open areas of the home when using their devices
  • Turn on review privacy settings in apps and games
