Parent Surveys

Selemat datang semuanya (Welcome everyone)

Thank you to all of our families that have been dropping off food treats etc. for staff. We were even nominated to get a Chobani delivery. I know that it is very challenging for all families to support children during this Remote Learning period, again. We are aware of this but would also encourage you to reach out if you need additional support.

There are over 40 students onsite and although this is a challenge with staff delivering Remote Learning and supervising students, this can be a support to our most vulnerable students and students on the Program for Students with a Disability.

In this time I thought I would share with you a video from one of the Professional Learning sessions that staff have been completing. It is all about a growth mindset and approaching Maths in a positive way. I do think it has ways to approach lots of different things not just Maths.

Remote Learning Parent Survey

We would like to gather your feedback on how you have found Remote Learning so far. We learnt some valuable lessons from our last experience with the help of parent and student surveys and want to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our school community. The survey should only take a couple of minutes and results will be shared and discussed with staff.

Indonesian Day

Indonesian Day looked a lot different this year than in the past. As in all things challenging MPRPS rises to overcome all obstacles. A big thank you to Bu Marissa Mundy and Miss Yana Millane for their enthusiasm and amazing resilience supported by all staff. I hope you have had a chance to check the staff video and that students enjoyed different Indonesian inspired activities on Friday.

Staff News

Mr Andy Parthenopoulos’ has decided to step away from teaching and I wish him well in his new endeavours. Andy has made sure that there will be a smooth transition to the new teacher and I thank him for his commitment to the challenges of Remote Learning, conducting the mid-year Parent/Teacher interviews and finalising assessments.

We have successfully appointed Emily Glen as the 1/2P teacher for the rest of 2020. Emily taught previously at MPRPS and took time out this year to explore her pastoral role. She has decided to return to teaching and is excited to be given the opportunity once again to be a part of the MPRPS community.

Sampai jumpa, Kim
