Friyay Funday

Last Friday we had our first Friyay Funday for Remote Learning 2.0.  Our theme was ‘The Olympics’, as the Tokyo Olympics are meant to be taking place right now.

Onsite students dressed up as sports people and participated in a range of activities from Mini Olympics to create your own Olympic Torch.  The day was well organised by Mr Tate, Mrs Lister and Mrs Cooke.

Students who were learning at home would have seen a range of Olympics activities on the Remote Learning website that they may have completed as well.  There was also a range of extension tasks put on the website for students to challenge themselves with.

Tomorrow our Friyay Funday theme is Positive Education.  Students can choose to engage in a range of tasks on the home learning website related to gratitude, mindfulness and character strengths.  Or they may choose to engage in an extension task that the teachers have put up.

We hope that Fridays will provide opportunity for children, families and staff to step away from the regular remote learning routine.  Some families may choose not to engage in the day and that’s ok!  Other families may also choose to catch up on some of the learning from other days.
