Tabloids
All of K-6 will combine on Friday to participate in Tabloids. These are fun activities developing fitness and loco-motor skills. All students need to be in their full sports uniform.
Kindergarten King Fit
Next term we are permitted to resume some of our regular sporting activities. Kindergarten will be going to King Fit Lifestyle Centre each Friday. Here they will work on strength, coordination and locomotion through a variety of activities. Cost will be $2 per child. If you have any concerns please let your class room teacher know.
Jump Rope For Heart
Next term all students from Kindergarten to Year 6 will participate in Jump Rope for Heart – a fantastic physical activity and fundraising program by the Heart Foundation that has been running for 35 years. Since Jump Rope for Heart started in 1983, schools like ours have raised more than $75 million for the Heart Foundation’s lifesaving work. Jump Rope for Heart is a great way for your child to keep fit and learn new skills, but it also helps raise funds for vital heart research and education programs. It’s important you register your child online, so they can receive the full benefits of the program and participate in online fundraising, however, this is not compulsory. Students will have the chance to win a variety of prizes for their fundraising efforts. Ten per cent of everything we raise will also go to St. Vincent de Paul. On Friday 4 September students will participate in a ‘Jump Off’ day as a culmination of their practice and fundraising efforts.
Primary Sport Update
All upcoming Armidale Diocesan Primary Sporting events have been cancelled until the end of Term 3, 2020, this includes the school and Diocesan Athletics Carnival.
The following ADPSC events will go ahead pending current restrictions are lifted;
* Friday 6th November, 2020 - Touch Football Gala day (Inverell)
* Friday 4th December, 2020 - Basketball & Tennis Trials (Tamworth).
