PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Happy holidays!

I would like to wish everyone a very relaxing and safe holiday! We have made it through a difficult term and I really hope that families enjoy these holidays being able to go to the park, the library, the dam and other places that bring you joy. I would like to thank our staff, students and families for their hard work and support since the end of Term 1.  As we move into Term 3 many of the restrictions placed on school will be eased. Next term we will be able to:

  • Have incursions and visitors to provide activities that support curriculum delivery
  • Day field trips to outdoor locations
  • All school sport activities including competitions aligned with current health advice
  • Inter-school events and competitions
  • Work experience
  • VET work placements
  • P and F and SAC meetings (with preference for ZOOM)
  • Parent/teacher meetings
  • Volunteers can resume in the canteen

Activities still under considerations are:

  • School camps
  • Excursions other than outdoor field trips
  • Parent attendance at assemblies or school events
  • Parent volunteers
  • Interstate excursions
  • School based activities that involve large gatherings of adults are not permitted at this time

Kindergarten 2021 Virtual Open Day

Come and collect an enrolment form from the Front Office or go to our website for one. Kinder applications close this Friday 3 July.

Student Reports

Our Semester 1 student reports will be sent home this week. They do not look like our usual reports as they have been modified for this different period of time. The reports also have goals or the next steps in learning for your child. There will be Family Conferences next term to discuss these goals and your child's progress.

Pupil Free Day Next Term

As seen in the calendar section, the first day of Term 3, Monday 20 July is a Pupil Free day. Our staff will be learning about pastoral care and wellbeing of our students.

Term 2 Fees

Term 2 fees are due today.  We appreciate the support of our families during this difficult time.

Thank you

To the Sapphire Wind Farm for supporting local schools and providing us with a new shade shelter. This will be a useful items especially for our Ag Team when they return to participating in events.

Excursion Notes

Please return the expression of interest notes regarding our major excursions that were sent last week to students in Year 5, 6, 8 and 9 by Thursday this week. Your feedback is appreciated.
