The Principal's Pen

The Principal's Pen

There are many benefits that we experience at Cornerstone being part of the family of schools under CCM. I took part in the online Principals’ conference last week. Over three days we examined different ‘domains’ that are essential in a school, from teaching and learning through to management of resources. Each Principal led a workshop on one domain in turn, presenting current research and best practice in their allocated domain. It was a very encouraging time, hearing stories from other schools across Australia. Collectively, there is such a wealth of experience and expertise brought together under CCM and it was on display last week.

Godly leadership was evident through all of the conference and so many of the researched national standards that we were examining were supported in a biblical world view. It is essential to our College’s mission that this background be maintained and it was only reinforced over the three days of the conference.

It brought to mind Timothy’s urging in the bible that we pray for our leaders. That is currently very relevant  for our nation’s leaders and it is also valued for our College leaders too.

“Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity”. 1 Tim 2:2
