A message from the Principal

Parent Info nights

Last week our wonderful year-level teaching teams threw open their classroom doors and ran start-of-year information nights for parents.

Also streamed online via Webex, these sessions provided families with an overview of how learning will look at each level this year - the key concepts, knowledge and skills that will be covered and how our teachers plan to do this.

We hope that providing this insight into learning in the classroom and the approaches, programs and strategies that are followed is valuable for parents and carers and will help you to understand what your child will be doing on a day-to-day basis this year.

In addition, teams touched on the key things families can do at home to support this learning and provided important reminders of upcoming events and information for families to be aware of.

Attending these sessions as a Principal, I was struck by the deep knowledge and passion of our teachers here at SKiPPS and the commitment that each team has to ensure students at this school make strong progress in their learning whilst also feeling connected, happy and challenged at school. I was excited by the plans that each level have made for 2023 and am confident that all of our students will thrive and be supported to have a great year.

If you were not able to make the session, the slides shared by each level can be found below;

If you have any further questions about the content covered at the information sessions, or any other aspect of your child's learning this year, please don't hesitate to contact your child's teachers.
