Opening School Mass

On Thursday 2nd February, our school held a Whole School Opening Mass. At this Mass we celebrated our new College Leadership Team and new staff and students. We learnt about the sacraments of initiation and were introduced to our College Theme for the new year. Our theme for 2023 is Common ground, Common unity, Common good. The theme talks about working together even if we are different.

Unfortunately Fr John, our Parish Priest, was in India, but luckily Fr Jackson was available, so he led our Mass and brought along two Brigidine Sisters, Sister Cecilia Merrigan and Sister Margaret Duffy from Echuca. The Brigidine Sisters are an important part of our school and it was really special for them to be present at our Mass. Our new leadership team worked together to lead our Mass as their first role of the year. They were all presented with their badges toward the end of the Mass. We were introduced to our new staff as they received a candle and ended our Mass with an address from our Principal, Mr Sutton, about having a great year and being the best we can be!

Richmond Football Club Visit

On Tuesday 14th February, St. Augustine's College will host players from the Richmond Football Club.

Students in Years 7, 8 and Partnerships will attend a Q&A session with the players. During recess, students in F-6 will be invited to play on the oval space as the Richmond players join in with some activities and mingle amongst our students.

If any older students from Years 7-12 would like to get an autograph from the players, there will be a space available for them to do this at recess.
