Frankston Line Disruptions

Dear school community,

This email is to notify you about changes to train services on the Frankston line in July, while maintenance and level crossing removal works take place.

Planned rail disruptions

Busses will replace trains on sections of the Frankston Line at the following times:

  • From 8.20pm Friday 19 July to last train Sunday 28 July, buses will replace trains between Mordialloc and Stony Point.
  • From 7.50pm to last train each night, Sunday 21 July to Wednesday 24 July, buses will replace trains between Moorabbin and Frankston.

Plan your journey at ptv.vic.gov.au or call 1800 800 007.

Journey planning

During the planned disruption:

  • A range of different bus services will operate to make passenger’s journeys as direct as possible
  • Customer service staff will be on the ground to help students reach their destination
  • Passengers should allow an extra 35 minutes for their journey

Carrum Station closure

Carrum Station is closed until early 2020, Frankston line trains run express through Carrum. A shuttle bus will operate between Bonbeach and Seaford stations to connect Carrum Station passengers to train services.

If anyone within your organisation would like to speak directly to a project representative about the project they can contact us on 1800 105 105 or email contact@levelcrossings.com.au.

Attached is our detailed brochure for you to provide to your students, staff and members of your school community to assist with their journey planning in late July.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
