United Nations Youth SA Voice Competition

Blackfriars has changed the guard at the United Nations Youth Association in spectacular fashion.

For years Blackfriars has been blessed with talented public speakers and young diplomats with a keen interest in politics and international relations.

For two years in a row we have had Grand Finalists in the Evatt Diplomacy Competition and these finalists, Connor Watson and Zachary Dalton also represented South Australia at the UN Youth National Conference in Perth earlier in the year.

It is pleasing to note that there’s a tide of interest in younger thinkers and political enthusiasts ready to follow in their footsteps.

On Thursday 26 October, Joseph and Frank Snelling competed in the UN Youth Voice Grand Final at the UniSA City West Campus. Both boys spoke well and answered some tough questions admirably.

It is pleasing to note that Frank Snelling won the Grand Final and will now go on to represent South Australia at the Nationals in Brisbane early next year. We wish Frank the best of luck!
