COMMUNITY SUPPORT NEEDED

Rose Kelly the Director at Windsor Community Children’s Centre (WCCC) passed away tragically after a horrific accident on her way to work on the 5th of December 2019.

Rose had connections to many of our families and children in the RPS community in her role as a teacher, director and advocate for the Early Childhood profession.

Rose's passing has left her husband and 10 year old son devastated. WCCC is reaching out to the community to ask for assistance as, unfortunately with Rose's passing, her husband now faces financial challenges as Rose was the primary income earner for their family.

If you are able to contribute by making a donation please head to:

NEW RULES FOR MOBILE PHONES IN SCHOOLS FROM 2020

Earlier this year, the Hon. James Merlino, Victorian Minister for Education, announced a new mobile phone policy for all government schools. The aims of the policy are to ensure that students are not distracted by mobile phone use (including its potential misuse for cyberbullying purposes) and to protect healthy social interactions and physical activity at recess and lunchtime. The new policy comes into effect from the beginning of Term 1, 2020 and means that students who carry mobile phones to school must have them switched off and stored securely during school hours.

As this is a ministerial order which applies to our school, we have developed the policy attached below.
