With sadness

As the impact of the tragic events in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday continues to unfold, our thoughts are with the victims and their families.

One of Victoria’s greatest strengths is its history of multiculturalism. We’re proud of the diversity within our schools and early childhood settings. Melbourne has a large Sri Lankan population and this is reflected in our schools and their communities.

I understand that some members of our community may require support.  For advice about supporting children and young people and helping them feel safe during this time, see: Supporting children and young people with distressing events

Curriculum Day

On Friday 26th April, the CSPS staff all actively engaged in a Curriculum Day that focused on the implementation of COMPASS as our new platform for communication.   We workshopped a number of different and improved functionalities which we will gradually introduce to students and families in the coming months.  To maximise on COMPASS as a centralised communication platform, please register an account (See below)

COMPASS Blitz

Have you set up your account?

Thank you to everyone who has logged on and joined the school's Compass School Manager.  Push notifications received via Flexibuzz will now also be received via COMPASS with the intention of phasing out Flexibuzz in the near future.

For those who have logged into the COMPASS portal, have you had a browse around?  Do you have any questions with regards to this app?  If you do, please contact the office or your classroom teacher, we are here to help make this transition as smooth as possible.

If you haven't already set up your COMPASS portal please do so to ensure you stay informed. If you would like a reprint of your login letter or require new login details please contact the school.

Vandalism at CSPS

With great frustration, it is reported that we have experienced some vandalism at CSPS over the term break.  It has been a long time since such as occurred because the school community takes such care and exhibits enormous pride in our school.  Can you please communicate with your friends and families the importance that we watch out for our buildings and grounds after hours, during  weekends and holiday periods.
