WHERE CHILDREN LOVE TO BE
Even though our gardening club hasn’t officially kicked off yet, we have had lots of interest and some keen green thumbs have been getting together in the garden. We have been busy weeding and clearing out the current garden beds and preparing them for next term. We have also been busy getting our composting system up and running. Hopefully in a few weeks we’ll have some fresh compost to revitalise the garden beds too 😊
Gardening club will officially kick off next term each Monday lunchtime (weather permitting).
SHOUT OUT TO PARENTS – If you have any old gardening gloves, tools, pots, seeds, buckets or anything you think our gardening club would benefit from and you would like to donate them, then please drop them off at reception at your earliest convenience.
FRUIT TREE PLANTER BOXES
A huge shout out to our sustainability committee who met earlier this week and now have some solid plans in place for our fruit trees and their planter boxes. Once these have been received the multi-age students who worked for the ‘zero hero’ grant last year will be involved in purchasing some fruit trees to fill them up. Fingers crossed we’ll be able to enjoy our morning fruit snack from our very own trees 😊
