WHERE CHILDREN LOVE TO BE

I AM GRATEFUL FOR...

Parents as partners. A big thank you to our community for how enthusiastic you all are about your child’s education and experience at school. It has been so fantastic to see how many of you are able to jump in and volunteer your valuable time to be involved in the school, and we really do appreciate it.

FAMILY CHECK IN

One learning we took from the lockdown period was how powerful it was to check in with our community and make sure that we are responding to your needs, most effective was the Weekly Check In and we want to preserve this now that we are back to school. We plan to have a termly Family Check In, with the survey issued at the end of each term, you will find the link to the survey in the Compass notification that will be issued today.

The Family Check In survey will be open for the duration of the holidays, and at the beginning of Term 2 the Leadership Team will go through all your responses.

BREAKFAST CLUB

We are starting up our Breakfast club next term! This will be running from Monday to Friday from 8:30 – 8:50, this is completely free and everyone is invited to attend to have a healthy and tasty meal together!

All students attending TheirCare will be able to participate. If your child does not participate in TheirCare then you will need to stay to supervise your child for the duration of the breakfast club, this is a great opportunity for you to meet other parents and you are welcome to have breakfast as well!

If you would like to volunteer to support the club as well please just contact the office on south.melbourne.park.ps@education.vic.gov.au.

FASTING

If at any time your child is fasting for religious or medical reasons please let your classroom teacher know so that they can be aware. We know that religion is a really important part of many of our community’s lives and making sure the teachers are aware helps us to support your child.

HOLIDAYS

It’s the start of the holidays! It is really important over this time to wind down and let your children have a bit of a rest. They have had an enormous first term for the year and we want them back next term bouncing in to school ready to learn. Have a great break!
