Community Group News

Welcome back to Term 2 for 2021. We hope you had a safe and happy Easter!

The community group is back into full swing and there will be lots to come for Term 2, so please keep an eye on here.

Community Group Meeting

This will be held on the 5th May 2021 at 7.00pm here at school in the Learning Centre.

Social/School Events

Monday 19th April we had morning tea take place outside of the learning centre. It was a small gathering of parents.

Wednesday 12th May at 9:00 am will be our coffee catch-up venue to be confirmed. It is a good way to meet other parents and have a general chit chat about our children.

Pastoral Care

We farewelled Mrs Johnson last week as she started her maternity leave. We wish her well and await the news of the upcoming birth of her child.

Please remember if you or a family you know need any help please let us know. The community group is here to help where we can. Even if it is just to organise a meal or two, or to find a like-minded parent to talk to if you need.

Fundraising

Mother’s Day 2021

The Mother’s Day Stall is on Friday 7th May. Children will have access to the stall throughout the day in their classroom groups. There may be an opportunity after school to purchase leftover items, we will let you know via PAM.

Children are asked to bring up to $10 only. Gifts will range from $1 – 10, allowing students to pick from a range of options.

To make it a successful event we are asking all families for donations, either handmade or brought which will be used to be sold at the stall. All donations to be dropped into the office by Monday 3rd of May.

Some ideas for gifts: little plants, baked goodies, bath salts/bombs, socks, candles and diffusers, mugs, chocolates/lollies, beauty products, stationary, jams and chutneys, jewellery and other accessories.

Triathlon

It was a very cold day down the lake on Sunday11th April. We would like to thank all the helpers for setting aside some time to assist with this event. Special mention goes out to Bill Daunt and family for being there all day and for Samantha Daniel for organising helpers from the Foyer. Volunteering at these events helps us to raise money but also shows that St Luke’s is happy to contribute to the community in the same way Rotary do.

Pie Drive

The pie drive is back again. Children will receive an order form from Higgins Bakery next week. Forms will be due back Thursday 20th May.

Delivery will be Thursday 27th May 2 pm-4 pm in the stadium.
