Art club’s latest creation

The recycled Mona Lisa 

In August 2017, the Green Team approached the art club about creating a public artwork using recycled  bottle caps. We came up with the idea of creating the Mona Lisa’s eyes. To start, we collected bottle-tops from both the school teachers and students  and also the wider community. It took about two months to collect the thousands needed to complete the work. We painted each bottle top individually and arranged the colours on the mural accordingly. We then bonded the finished work with PVA glue. The project took almost a year to complete.
