Parents and Friends Community News

Winter is here, and the PFC are going to hibernate in Northern Hemisphere for a few weeks and plan all these fun events for the next coming terms…….
Election BBQ
Thanks to everyone who came down and purchased a Democracy Sausage or Bacon and Egg roll from us on Election Saturday. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers who came to help, whether it was to turn bangers, pop bacon and eggs into rolls, ring up sales on Albert the eftpos machine or hand out cookbooks - it was greatly appreciated. I think you’d all agree there was a great atmosphere, we were spoiled by the weather and Jan’s gangsta rap playlist kept us all going. The best part is ……we raised $3,442 for the school! Thanks to all involved.
Fun Lunch
Just to keep the sausage theme going, we will be holding our usual end of term fun lunch on 24th June for the kids. Keep an eye out for our compass post asking for volunteers on the day.
Lapathon
We have moved our Lapathon to September 8th, the date worked much better as there isn’t as much on in Term 3. The kids love this event. It’s a great atmosphere and the kids love competing for the pizza prize for the class with the most laps in each year level. It would be great for parents to volunteer on the day, and in the weeks before help the kids get as much sponsorship as they can.
Parents social event (Take 2) SAVE THE DATE
After our very disappointing cancellation of our Studio 54 parents event earlier in the year, we are very pleased to announce we will be holding the event on Friday October 14th. The mums who attended the lunch will attest we can put on a good shindig, so please get behind this event if you can.
Community Carnival
Our date for the Community Carnival that has been planned for later in the year, has been set for Friday 18th November, due to the scheduling of the State election. This will be a huge, fun event for all the family. We have some great things planned but would welcome suggestions from the school community and of course we’d love to see you all volunteer. Stay tuned!
Mothers Day Lunch
We can’t thank everyone who attended enough for contributing to the fun and the great vibe. With no room on the dance floor when the band sang ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ was indicative of a great day, as was the overflowing bus that went back to the Half Moon!
We are thrilled to announce that thanks to the mum’s generosity and great spirit, we raised $7,000 from the event for the school.
See you soon!
