Wicked Weather Incursion
Did you know you can make a tornado using some plastic bottles and water?
On Tuesday 10th May the Grade 2’s had a visit from Mad About Science and participated in their Wicked Weather Incursion. They made an experiment with salt water to make rain, watched snow form in their hands and explored some beads that changed colour when exposed to Ultraviolet light.
Mothers Day Afternoon Tea
Mothers Day scrumptious treats were prepared by the students… freshly iced.
All mums love having their nails done….. don’t they? Especially by their 5 year olds???
Our Mothers Day afternoon allowed us to welcome an amazing grandmother. Willing to have her toe nails painted, they look great too! Legendary!!
Our mums brought much love on our Mothers Day afternoon.
Foundation students are practicing counting on from a number to add two numbers together. We roll two dice, match the number on each of the gingerbreads and then add the counters via a fox’s mouth ( gingerbread man) to a ten frame. We count our total and transfer the addition process into a worded sum. We are sooo clever!
We are practicing to read sentences, write our letters correctly and show off when we are proud of our efforts.
Thank you to our wonderful year 2 students who read our big book story of the Billy goats gruff so that our class could take turns in acting it out.
Thanks to Maggie and the many mums who come to help out in our foundation classes.
