Year 1/2 News

Welcome Back!

A huge congratulations to all of our Yr 1/2 students on their very successful transition back into classrooms. We have been thrilled by how well the students have settled into their learning and how well they are coping with the changed arrangements at school. Thank you to all families for supporting our young learners through the remote learning phase, as well as for supporting them in their return to school.

Plastic Containers for Performing Arts

For the remainder of the term the Years One and Two students will continue exploring sound in Performing Arts time. They will be creating performances that use sound effects in response to movement and picture story books. 

To help us, we kindly ask that students bring a large plastic container to use as a drum and for storing our found instruments.  I have found ice cream, yogurt and honey containers to be the most effective. I kindly ask that all containers can be clearly labelled with children's names and room numbers. 

Years One and Two Performing Arts classes are on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this term.
