Return to Face to Face Teaching

By now you are probably aware of a decision by the Premier to announce that all government school students will return to school full-time from next Monday May 25, or be marked absent. This is a late change to their published transition plan.

The Diocese of Armidale had communicated our strategy, identifying Monday June 1 as the date for a full-time return to school by all students. As a result of this next week we will continue with our Phase 2 Managed Return to School with students attending on the following days:

The students will continue to do online learning next week with the PBLs both in the classroom and at home.

We are aware that many of our parents are now returning to full time work or their work commitments have increased, therefore from Monday 25th May if you need your child to return to school extra days apart from those allocated, you are welcome to send them in. If you need extra days for your children and have not previously advised us, please email us at smaadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au so that we can keep track of numbers and continue to meet our social distancing requirements until the end of May as per our original plan.

Students will return to face to face teaching from Monday 1st June and remote learning will cease from this date. Full-time attendance at school is expected from June 1 and all schools across the diocese will then apply the usual procedures to absenteeism. Parents of children who feel they are at risk or have family members who are at risk if they attend school will need to advise the school of their circumstances so that we can give advice on how to proceed.
