Years 8 & 9 News

Welcome Back

Welcome back to our students in Years 8 and 9. We are looking forward to a very smooth year with minimal disruptions. Thank you to parents/carers for ensuring your child returned in the correct uniform. Students are looking very smart and enthusiastic about 2022. Students in Years 8 and 9 will have new coordinators this year:

Mr Joel Treyvaud and Mr Joel McMahon at Year 8 and Mr Aaron Elias and Ms Paige Jessulat at Year 9.

They are all very experienced coordinators and are looking forward to working with their year levels to ensure the year is successful for all students.

Thank you, students, for your assistance on Photo Day. This is always a major logistical exercise and we greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation.

It is important for every student to begin the year in an organised way with their own home study timetable and their goals for 2022. Parents can support them by providing a quiet, comfortable space for them to work at home.

Teachers will set varying amounts of homework, but it is important for all students to do some home study regularly to reinforce skills of independent learning and disciplined work. Students should include reading, revision work and practice exercises as part of their regular home study routine.
