Year 9 Unplugged

Friday 11 February, the Year 9 cohort began their Unplugged program by attending Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. Students are currently studying the Industrial Revolution in Themes classes, this was a great opportunity for students to further understand how the Industrial Revolution impacted people all over the world, especially in the textiles and mining industries in Australia.

The task for this Unplugged day was for them to take photos of various items before the Industrial Revolution and what inventions came about. The activities the students participated in, included a mine tour, an education class, which involved a tour and shopping for everyone’s favourite raspberry drops from the lolly shop. The day was filled with a lot of learning and walking, while also having fun.
