Return to School
Welcome back, everyone, to term 4. We are all looking forward to the student’s returning onsite. Everyone has experienced interrupted learning over the past two years. For our younger cohort, this has been their only experience of school, of which we have to be very mindful. Staff will be supporting your children as they transition back and readjust to school routines. When they are back on site, their wellbeing will be as important as literacy and numeracy.
Families have been under stress with all the covid ups and downs, and it is essential to make sure that everyone at school, both children and adults, have come through this okay. We are lucky to have very good people at Holy Family who are skilled in this area.

Congratulations
We have come back to school this term with some exciting news. Our Physical Education & Health teacher, Mrs Elke Wood, and her husband will be having a baby in the new year. They are busy preparing their home for when they become a family of three. We wish them all the best and can't wait to hear about their new arrival.
End of Year
At the end of term, we will not be having a prize giving as we have done in the past. We will celebrate the year and our Holy Family children's efforts into their learning at school and home.
We will be sticking to the published dates for all our end-of-year events, but they will be online more than likely. Any online events we have will be a combination of live and pre-recorded parts.
Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS): 7 October – 28 October 2021
MACSSIS is a set of surveys that have been built specifically for Catholic schools in Melbourne. It is a way of receiving feedback from students, families and staff, enabling us to consider the forward direction and school improvement. Anyone completing the survey will be using a secure online platform.
Participation is invited and welcomed and is 100% voluntary. We really would appreciate your participation as your opinions about what we do as a school is valuable. Families can complete the survey anytime over the following 3-week period: 7th October – 28th October. The school will send a link and a password to you via Seesaw. If you would like additional information, please get in touch with the school.
Students in years 4-6 will complete the survey when they return to school. Teachers will supervise these sessions. Please notify us if your child does not wish to participate.
Regards,
Steve Twomey.
