Languages

In the Mandarin classroom, the students have enjoyed hands-on learning. There is an old Chinese proverb saying “I hear, and I forget; I see, and I remember; I do, and I understand.” (吾听吾忘 吾见吾记 吾做吾悟).

This year, the students investigated their favourite topics in relation to our Inquiry Investigations topics. Each term, students selected a topic, set up learning goals, and researched their inquiry questions.

Learning a second or third language can be challenging, yet it has so many benefits. It gave students a rich experience to connect not only with the multicultural community, but also with the world.

Students explored Chinese culture. They have gained confidence and developed overall literacy and communication skills.
