Principal's Report

What a term it has been!

Another term has passed with the majority of it being undertaken in remote learning. Most of our Year 12 students will have now completed all of their School Assessed Coursework and will begin preparations for their exams starting on 27th October. A reminder that the GAT, for all students completing a Unit ¾ subject this year, has been rescheduled to Tuesday 5th October. Further details can be found on Compass.

We want to say what an amazing job all of our students have done again this term, navigating and meeting the challenges that have been in front of them in such a positive and resilient way. We still don’t have any clear direction of what school will look like at the start of next term but we know our students will adjust to whatever is put in front of them.

We would also like to send a big shout out to all of our parents and guardians who have been supporting our students from home. Even though they may not show it all the time, they do appreciate the support you provide. Thank you from all our teaching and Education Support staff, we appreciate everything you are doing and are grateful for the strong support we have always enjoyed from our wider school community to ensure our students can continue to progress their learning and stay safe and well in doing so.

Compass

A reminder to stay up to date with Compass over the holidays as we will be communicating any important information relating to students and school as it is released from the Department of Education.

Student Leaders Community Week

Unfortunately, due to restrictions, the Student Leaders Community Week was not able to go ahead this week. We would like to acknowledge the work of our Student Leaders in planning and organizing this event and hopefully some of the activities will be able to go ahead in the future.

Holiday Works

During the holidays, work will continue on our new $4.6 million Senior Learning Centre. Due to the recent lockdowns work has slowed over recent months, however, we expect it to be completed before the end of term 4. As part of the works rooms K7 and K8 will be removed completely from the school site. This will create space for a new courtyard space to be constructed in 2022.
